Why do mothers do this?

My little boy and I are in the grocery store, I hear a child crying. I look over in the next aisle, see the toddler in the cart crying and the mother either saying, "you better shut up." or something along the lines. On occasions, I have even seen the mother discipline the child. I have my own beliefs and they are this: I will never discipline my toddler boy in public, I do not believe in this. It is embaring, and brings unnecessary stares. It is not conducive to him nor myself. I would rather discipline in the comfort of our own home. Why didn't the mother try to figure out what the baby wanted instead of telling her to shut up? My son is always content and happy when we go to the grocery store. I always bring his bottle, just in case. If he starts getting antsy, I will talk to him in a loving way, or if we are towards the end of the check out line, I will grab him a bag of doritos, open the bag, give him a chip, and place the bag on the conveyor belt so that i can pay for it. I guess I'm just a wuss when it comes to parenting. What do you think? Do you agree with mothers that do this?

Now, even if that is true, America did launch the Marshall Plan and continued to have bases on European soil during the entire Cold War (and still do today!), but here's my question: Finland had to fend off the Soviet Union and lost 11% of her territory in the Winter War w/o America helping her, Switzerland is a heavily fortified nation and was never attacked by Hitler as he thought it militaristic suicide and Ireland was not involved in the conflict, so do those nations really owe anything to the U.S. Military? Switzerland and Ireland didn't get Marshall Aid, and they weren't involved in the conflict. They also haven't had bases on their soil as both are neutral. So, why do I hear some Americans say, "we saved your @sses in WWII to Irish and Swiss people?"

he is still so young, let him have the bottle, the milk is very good for him and babies need comfort. my baby dropped the bottle at 7 mo. but for most babies it takes longer. let him have it for a couple more months. alot of people think that a year old is an absolute deadline for babies to quit the bottle, i say just a little longer.

I'm so confused by him, please help?

I have been dating this guy for a long time *two years in april* and i am starting to wear thin. One of his friends from his hometown just moved in with him and his roommate, and he is driving me crazy. He is super annoying, thinks hes right about everything, makes stupid comments, always says that I don't know what I'm talking about, one time he actually told me that my opinion didn't matter because I "don't watch enough action movies". What is that about? I've been depressed since 7th grade- severely. I've been obsessed with death, thought of killing myself and am currently dealing with urges to cut myself and feeling worthless. Colon Cleansing - I now have diarrhea?

I am taking a product for colon cleansing. The first day was great as I had several normal bowel movements after almost a year of severe constipation. Previously I averaged using the toilet three times a week. Now, the third day into it I have severe diarrhea as well as some leakage. Should I continue, take a smaller dose or stop altogether? My mom is a bully and a bad example for me, what should I do?

My mom makes me feel like a child and that I have no voice about anything. We fight about the littlest things and I cry out of frustration. She always thinks she is right, and when i prove to her that she's wrong, she goes on a different subject and never apologizes. We always end up in the same place in the end, which is her yelling at me and telling me how ungrateful i am and how she raised me on her own. Sadle and tack cleaners for my new horses tack?

What I use in my store to keep the saddles I sell nice and supple is a product called Leather CPR. it cleans, conditons and softens the leather. We have florescent lighting in the store and my saddle stans are three tiered so the saddles get pretty close tot he lights. Before I started using this on the saddles when I took over the equine section, all the leather tack was dried out, disclored and in horrible condition. We had to clearance a lot out to get it gone and get all new stuff. i started using the Leather CPR and have noticed not only is there no drying out of the leather but some of the older stuff that had dried out has regained almost 95% of it's suppleness. I personally don't like neatsfoot oil but you can use it and it will darken leather to an extent. For heavens sake though do not soak anything in neatsfoot oil overnight. Yes you will get a nice rich brown color especially if you had light tack and wnated it darker, however exposing it to that much neatsfoot oil for that long of a time will cause the stitching to rot more quickly than regular use. If it is light and you don't like the color of it, rub it every other day with the enatsfoot oil, let it sit for about and hour and then wipe off the excess. Mink oil will also darken leather some and it's a "jelly" type pastey product, you rub it in , let stand 15 minutes and rub off the excess. It also helps to condition and waterproof your tack to an extent. as for silver cleaning (not bits though) i love "mother's mag polis" you can find it at an auto supply store, it is generally used on rims and what not on cars but I have found it works wonders cleaning old silver and maintaing the shine of new silver. Sponges i just use the 12 pack of synthetic sponges you can buy at any tack shop, though some people prefer a natural sponge. It really is a personal choice. Shampoos and conditoner are we talking for the horse? My fave (b/c I have palominos and greys) is white n brite shampoo. it darkesn the dark colors and makes whites sparkle. Conditoner I use the cowboy magic demineralizer conditoner. Boot shine to be honest I am not the one that shines my boots! i'll clean them but my dad who is an ex-marine and now retired police officer shines them for me! lol Having been a marine he can get a hell yeah shine on them that I can't get so about once a month hhe shines my boots up nice:) I deep clean my tack once a month at home and the store tack i do weekly. Everytime I am done riding I try and wipe it all down with a chamois cloth. This method has worked well for me for over 10 years. I have a super nice barrel saddle that cost more than my current horse and it still looks like it's maybe 2 years old instead of 10 even the silver on it!

I would lower the temp just a tad bit to 78 or 76. pH is fine though I leave mine at 6.7-8. Yes I've kept live plant before and know how it work but still if you claim to have an stock planted tank you must be pumping co2 and that can bump of oxygen out of the water. I usually keep my tank at 24 to 20 gallon. It was at 30 to 20g but they look too cramp. Didn't look nice to me, Keep it bottom feeders, mid, and top if you want to stock it crazily. Question about Miles Per Gallon.?

Ok a few weeks ago I changed my cars oil. I did it quickly before work and accidentally used 5w20 instead of 5w30 (Mobil 1) in my camry (5-w20 is for my van). After I came back home I realized my mistake and contacted Mobil to see if it would be a problem. They responded with telling everything will be fine just keep your current oil change interval and change back when your interval comes. Now everything is fine and dandy except for one thing - I now get around a extra 20-30 miles per tank. My driving habit, route, octane (87) has stayed constant. The only diffidence that I can see is the oil. How does using 5w20 increase gas mileage. Obviously I'll change back pretty soon (Next OCI). I just thought it was really strange.

Tenant rights for uninhabitable room?

One of the rooms in our flat has really bad mould, damp, leaking roof and is need of repair. Agency and landlord is aware of this and have proceeded to knock a hole in the wall for ventilation..covered by a grill that can't be closed. I guess he thinks our 3 year old son fabricated all this! I filed for an emergency modification of our custody agreement and was denied! I called child services and still havn't heard back. Someone that knows this other child who supposidly touched my son, told me that he also touched another child before and that he's very ualy explicite for his age. Even after all this i was still denied. So i had to suck it up and send him back to his dads. It was the looongest weekend of my life! What can i do?? First of all I use the term "black people" loosly since I think that there is really no reason to have a label for people due to the color of their skin. However, I also believe that people should not be judged for their creed, ual preference or religous beliefs as well. Its human nature to be scared of what you dont understand. Many people are brough up with the belief that anyone that does not look, act, feel or think like they do are horrible people and should be persecuted for it. Its disgusting if you ask me. The color of your skin does not determine the type of person you are, what you can become or even who you want to be. I see that... and try to look for the good in all people. I understand your agrivation, and it truly is warranted. I am tired of hearing things like "the white man is bringing us down" though. There are so many ignorant people in this world... but there are more and more every day who are opening their minds to people who are different than themselves. Alot of times these people who did not grow up in a diverse community like I did are then shot down by the very community they want to understand. This problem goes both ways unfortunatly, and is not only between black and white people... but all people in general. Its not fair to say that black people are the cause for most of the drugs and violence... people are looking at statistics from areas where these things are mostly noted... but most white people dont want to admit that most serial killers are middle aged white men. I'm not bashing here at all - but I would not recommend yelling a song. It's not good for your vocal chords. But you can increase your natural singing voice with vocal exercises. That means lots of vocalizing practice by doing scales - up and down - stretching and relaxing your voice little by little so no damage will occur to those precious "chords!" This isn't just "days" this is a forever routine for singers. Vocalizing should be a daily chore to keep your voice fit. Just like a body builder exercises everyday for the same reason FITNESS! To quit or not to quit?

I've played football for the last 5 years and I most likely will be next year, however football is no longer my pion, I mean I enjoy playing and I enjoy being part of the team, but i despise the time commitment. I feel the bigger issue though is my positioning in football, for the last 5 years I have been a lineman due to being bigger than everyone else my age, however over the past two years I have grown around 5 inches and lost 20 pounds so now in my freshman year I am 5'10" and 165 lbs. It's not as though I lack the brains to be in a skilled position (all honors cles) or the speed as i was the 5th fastest person on our team including backs and tight ends (we don't have wide receivers in our offense), or endurance as I would finish in the top three of just about and conditioning that involved endurance, my school's football program basically wants you to be settled into a position by the end of your freshman year and i was once again a lineman. I just don't want to be lineman sized, as I refuse to put on fat weight to gain a leverage advantage, and i just don't have the build to be stocky and muscular. The other problem I run into is my father. he wants so desperately for me to continue in football, that he went so far as to say he would not help me as much financially if i quit. Not that it would be a health issue for me as I still participate in Karate, Swimming and Track, he just said that those aren't as entertaining to watch. Well I seem to have rambled far more than i had originally planned so I'll go ahead and bring this to a stop. All in all should I continue with this sport or not?

At 48 I feel like I've given up. Sounds like a relationship I was in a couple years ago. You can't be happy with him and you can't be happy without him either. They know exactley what to so to suck you back in every time. It shows him that he has the upper hand and is in control of the relatioship. What is gonna stop him from going offf again on another one of his cheating binges. Had all the arrangements done and was gone within a week. I left for 3 months and got away from things. i will be honest though, I was depressed and missed him the entire time I was out there. When i came home he had a new GF already and that hurt. It laster a few more months and then he asked me back again. i was an idiot and gave in. It wasnt the same though, i felt ashamed and guilty. All the effort I had made to get away for nothing. Thats made me realize i had to end it for good!! That is axactely what I did. It made me realize that time really does heal. Eventually he started texting me and trying to contact me again. This time I had the upper hand and was in control. It felt great abnd gave me the confidence to keep moving on. In time, I got over things and was in a happy state again, never thought it would happen but it did!! I changed my phone number and deleted him for my life completely. That is what you need to do as well. Relationships should never be that hard. You shouldnt have to play games or ever feel depressed like you do. It isnt healthy. My advice to you is to end the relationship for good. You can't change a guy like you may think. It doesnt work that way. In time you will get over him and be happy again. Try reading the book "It's called a breakup because it's Broken". That is an amazing book and it tells you the honest and blunt truth. Trusta me this guy sounds like an *** and isnt worth your time. Could he be bi-polar? Sounds like he is up and down. One day you will meet a guy who is amazing and will treat you right. I know that is what they all say and I didnt beleive either but it's true. I met an amazing guy a year after when I wasn't looking. He was my perfect mold and treats me like a queen. You can find that is you just give it time!! Wet Cough that is lasting a while!?

Okay i recently had a sinus infection, that the doctor said might have gotten some stuff into my lungs that irritated them (i have asthma) so i had a wet cough, so i took antibios and its been about a week and a half and i still have that same wet cough. I do get allergies at random years. But i usually get prednisone and the doctor would not give me that this time. What should I do about my work situation?

I've been at my job as a research yst for a group of ysts specialized in studies of the oil & gas industry for almost 3 years now. Lately, I've been wondering where I am going with my career; how do I get promoted; why do I feel like I am still doing piece-meal work; where do I fit into the organization. A lot of these questions were raised in my annual review, but not discussed. At the time, it was mainly because I thought that I had a lot of answers to these questions. But it was also because my hiring manager appeared to be quite busy at the time. However, these questions did not go away, and in trying to establish a niche for myself, I brought up the possibility of doing work along my line of expertise but outside the business unit with my hiring manager. He did not understand why I wanted to do so, and was displeased with me since the beginning of this week. On Friday, I decided to try again with him. The conversation went a little like this - I apologized for not being clear with what I had said to him on Tuesday (now that I'm looking back, I realized that I should not have done so); my telling him that I don't feel like I am getting enough responsibilities/challenges at work; my telling him my motivation for doing work outside the business unit that aligns with my interest; questions about where I am supposed to go with my career here; that I am trying to work things out because I want to stay with the company; that I want to make something of myself in the company before going back to California; that right now, I feel like I have no future with this job, and that I feel like I am getting no where. He told me that I need to be more ertive; I need to communicate better; I should aim to become a general yst to take a significant chunk of work from a project and work on that. But throughout the entire process, I just get the feeling that he thought that the whole process was more a hle than anything else. For instance, when I asked him, "Where am I supposed to be 5 years from now? I know a lot of that depends on me." And he responded, "That's right. I don't know . . . in 5 years - you can be a project manager; help us win some work; become an expert of something. Do you see yourself doing that?" Before I could respond with, "I need to decide which subject matter that I've worked on is most interesting to me," he cut me off short and said, "I think that you need to decide on what you want to do." That was the course of our conversation, and even though we had talked, I knew that he was irate and irritated with me. I have several questions - what do I need to do to get on his good side again? I feel like I should just ask him if he needs help (which is always what he wants to hear). And I feel that whereas he had a high opinion of me before, he now has the lowest opinion of me ever. I feel like I need to just walk into work tomorrow with a "can-do" and "will-do" attitude, and just put all of this behind me. Also, I feel like I need to start implementing a lot of the things that he has told me during our meeting. And of course, actions will speak louder than words and that everything will be all right again at the end of the year. Any advice, insights, encouragements? They'd all be appreciated. Thanks!

Generally someone who is dyslexic are horrible readers and writers right? Well, I can read and write averagely, I think, but I am almost sure I have dyslexia. I'm 16 years old and have never been confronted about it by teachers or anything but I shy away from reading aloud in cl because a lot of the time I jumble the words and have trouble with words I've never seen before. Extremely often I read things like 3 as 8 or was as saw. I'm too embared to ask my parents to get an eye appointment because I've been to the eye doctor before about my headaches and they never noticed anything to do with dyslexia (that I know of). Suggestions?

How do I get rid of mildew smell in my carpet?

On Thursday night my toilet overflowed and there was a 3 inch river in my bathroom and the water spread from the bathroom into the hallway and part way into our bedroom.
