Can I make a facebook group /fan page of a radio station (considering I don't own it)....?

I tried to make a fan page for this radio station (it's kinda REALLY popular, which is why I'm worried), but it said not to make "unofficial" fan pages or my account will be deleted? And then it directed me to the group page, Wtfff? I would think that the owners would have made a group or fan page already. Whatever. Will I still get in trouble for making a group or will they sue me and disable my account or something stupid like that? I'm soo confused! Like omg you'd think they'd be happy people are advertising for something for free. I'M IRKED!
