Washing a slight mildewed blanket....?

I have a sleepingbag (kinda thick cotton) that has a little mildew on it due to gettin rained on and settin for a couple days til I could wash it. I used extra soap and washed it on extra cycle. Is it salvageable or should I just throw it away?
