Red shirts and Kool Aid?

So I was walking down the street the other day and some kids yelled "Hey! Kool Aid!" What does that mean? I was wearing a red shirt with light blue bell bottoms and gold shoes with a trucker hat on. What does Kool Aid have to do with anything?
